Washington, DC 20510

RE: Iberdrola Energy East, and AG investigation into First Wind

Senator Schumer,

Cohocton Wind Watch is a member of the CITIZEN POWER ALLIANCE. Our organization and the CPA coalition oppose the Iberdrola acquisition of Energy East. Our organizations also strongly support New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s investigation into First Wind and Noble Environmental Power.

The announcement that First Wind is filing an application with the SEC for a public IPO on NASDAQ, while there is an active criminal investigation into their business practices is most disturbing.

You were kind enough to speak with a friend of CWW upon your recent visit to Wethersfield Wind Project. At that time, you indicated you would welcome significant information regarding industrial wind and Iberdrola. A You Tube video has been produced about your visit - Senator Schumer Visits the Wethersfield Wind Project

Therefore, the following seven-page report by energy expert Glenn R. Schleede conforms to your instructions.

Please read this significant analysis - Why are New York Political and Business Leaders putting the interests of Spain-based Iberdrola ahead of the interests of New York’s taxpayers and electric customers?

Cohocton Wind Watch has supporters and members throughout the Finger Lakes region and all of Western New York. CWW requests that our executive committee be approved for a meeting in order to discuss the negative implications of the Iberdrola acquisition of Energy East. Your Rochester, NY office would be a central location, but our key members are willing to travel to any location of your selection.

Thanks you for your service and CWW eagerly looks forward for a meaningful engagement in the development of public energy policy legislation.

Cordially,

James Hall for CWW
